The University of Missouri's star wide receiver, Luther Burden III, has been selected by the Chicago Bears as the No. 39 overall pick in the second round.
Luther Burden III has made quite the name for himself at the University of Missouri. From 2022 to 2024, he consistently proved his worth as a formidable player, earning First-Team All-Southeastern Conference recognition in his last two seasons with the Tigers. He made 192 receptions for 2,263 yards, averaging 11.8 yards per reception. He also scored 21 touchdowns. Last season, Burden led the Tigers with 676 yards on 71 catches. This came just one season after he achieved an impressive 1,212 receiving yards, which was the third-highest by any SEC player. He also made 86 receptions, the second-highest by any pass-catcher in the conference. These performances earned him AP Second-Team All-America honors (2023).
